No. The 2007-2012 Ram uses the HE351VE (3799833), which is a completely different turbo. They do not interchange.

No. Turbo assembly only. Reuse your existing actuator if functional. Many VGT problems on the 6.7L are actuator-only failures — diagnose with a scan tool before ordering.

HE300VG for 2013-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins

When Dodge moved from the HE351VE to the HE300VG in 2013, the turbo got smaller but spooled faster. The HE300VG delivers quicker boost response at low RPM, which matters for towing. It also integrates more tightly with the DPF regen and EGR systems. The trade-off is that the smaller turbo works harder at high loads, which is why VGT and actuator issues remain common on the 6.7L platform.

Common failure patterns on 2013-2018 Ram 6.7L

  • VGT vane sticking — same issue as the HE351VE, compounded by higher EGR rates on the EPA13 platform. Codes P2262, P2263, or VGT position faults.
  • Actuator failure — the electronic actuator motor or gears fail. Test with a scan tool before replacing the entire turbo. Many “turbo failures” on the 6.7L are actually actuator-only problems.
  • Bearing wear — oil past seals, blue smoke, turbo whine at 150k-250k miles.

Installation

  • This listing does not include the electronic actuator. Transfer your existing actuator if functional. Run ECM VGT calibration after install.
  • Replace exhaust manifold and oil drain gaskets (included).
  • Flush oil feed line. Prime turbo with clean oil.
  • Clear DTC codes and verify VGT tracking with scan tool.
